10. GHOST STORY EH?

Puuuurfect!!

In the name Allah Most Merciful

6.00 am, alone at the office. Looking back at my PC & my memo to myself. I had to finalized my statistics on quality of undergraduate (diploma intake) for the past 10 years. I had to clustering CGPA by the number of student in by semester.  

Alhamdulillah, downloading the data from the database is fast as lightning due to lack of user. “Hai, Is!” I look at the door, there is no one. I go out to my room, looking at the office, I alone by myself. Suddenly, I felt a chill in the air. Why goosebumps? “As-salamualaikum…. I trying to do my job! I had a dateline! If you want to play in this room just do it. But never, ever try to…...” I tried to shout and suddenly from nowhere there a black cat jumped from the counter and ran toward me…...through me and vanished in the thin air.

I just stood there for a while, is it for real or my mind play tricks to me? I look around and just go back into my room. Nauzubillah and astgharfirullah! …...this is the cat that my staff had warned me before! I look at the time, it’s barely past 6.15 am.  I open a Quran recitation by Sheikh Mishary Rashed Alafasy loudly from my PC specifically Surah Al-Baqarah. I started working at my statistic and slowly the unease feeling fade away.  I never told my experience to my office mate, (just with my wife).

After that day, I will make sure, upon arriving office, the first thing after give a Salam is play a Quran recitation loudly in my room. That is a must!
