Audio Format Evolution

As-salam & Hai …... I’m back. The format to distribute a song had been change from vinyl, cassette, cd and now mp3. In the old days, we had to take a good care at our music collection because of fragility. You cannot store them in dark and humid condition, or your collection turned to a fungus factory. You had to clean it by alcohol but it will damage the quality of the music in the long run. Storage also becoming a problem when the collection is becoming too big! 

Nowadays, to cater this problem, I had to digitized all my collection by turn them into Mp3 format. This project had taken 2 to 3 years to be completed. All my collection had been fully digitized and categorized by alphabet. About a 4 TB size Mp3 size file had been created and still counting. I’m using an MS Excel for searching method and it still in a process.  

 All my files are used for my own purposed only. There is no distribution to others because a copyright issue. “If I had to buy to listen, so you also had to buy it” motto and attitude , is to make sure my friends know that I’m not a simply sharing it even though “sharing is caring”.

Lastly, whatever you do, don’t steal others works. We always saw stealing in contacts of physical terms. Stealing car, books, money and etc. We can tolerate when stealing some intellectual properties. 

May Allah forgive my sin. I repent from the sin of “stealing”….
