8. JUST DO IT

By The Name Of Allah The Almighty…...

8.30 am, after the morning briefing, “Is, can you help UTMLEAD? They give me a set of name, just name and courses only. Can you seek their hand phone number? They wanted to blast a message about a group workshop…” asked Mr. Zek (not his real name), an officer in my office. “Zek, just name and courses? That’s really a raw data…. I had to seek one to one search by system. Is it urgent…. death and life threatening kind urgent” ask me back. Even though I know the answer must be urgent…. just for the sake of bargaining. 

“Urgent, Is …. not just life threatening, end the world one…” told him cynically. “Okay Zek, just leave the list at my desk… I had to go to men room. Nature call!” Me replied half shouted. “This is not just a list, this is a “very long and really time consuming and freezing other work” type of list……Zek!” me shouted from my room to Zek. He just laughs and said “Just Do It, Is….be a Nike Tag Line!” ……

Without guidance and format, raw data is meaningless. When raw data been polish and recognized the usedness, then it becoming information. Information without a guide also can be a useless until it been recognized its terms of operational definition (O.D). 

12.30 pm, settle! Alhamdulillah, the line and system in top conditions!
